  • !!! M.E.L.D. is still in development. All interior art is stock art for the moment, playtesting is underway, and the text has NOT been professionally edited.
  • Task resolution uses a six-sided dice-pool, with options to 'push your luck', increasing chances for a crit ... or a fumble.
  • M.E.L.D.'s combat is grim and gritty. Be careful, wear armor, take cover, and fight smart, because a single bullet or sword-slash might be your end!
  • M.E.L.D. has a Power creation system, but power will cost you dearly. You can make a guy that shoots lasers from his eyes, but that provides only a marginal benefit over just buying a gun.
  • Fight smart with the dynamic Fighting Styles system. Think on your feet and choose your focus in combat carefully from one Moment to the next, using your style's strength against your enemy's weaknesses.
  • You live for more than fighting. Forge important bonds with others with the Relationship Tag system, and see how your friendships, rivalries, enmities and loves grow and change over time.
  • Built-in setting about the Pentecosm, a small number of linked dimensions. Explore a city with strange reflections in dimensions of fantasy, scifi, the post-apocalypse, and the modern world. Thwart an interdimensional cabal seeking to control them all, or heal five broken worlds and give rise to ... something else.
  • The entire text is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Sharealike license.
  • Caveat: While not really an 'adult' title, M.E.L.D. is not really recommended for the kiddos, either. Contains some mild adult content, mostly offhand references to sex and casual drug use. This is a game, folks. We urge all hard-partying adventurers to booze it up throughout the Pentecosm responsibly.
